I think Ricci’s/Sciamat’s roped shoulders look great on an overcoat.  Something about a longer coat makes it less obtrusive to me.   I’m a huge fan of outerwear because of the different ways you can wear it.  You could probably get 10 different looks with this coat (different buttoning stances, collar up/collar down, pocket square, etc.).  If you live somewhere where the weather gets cold, an overcoat may get the most use out of anything in your closet, so don’t settle.
